Honda Hawk Formula Twins Racer For Sale

(More pix here)

I just bought a new track bike (Ducati 749) and my trusty old Honda Hawk racer isn't getting much use. It is a great bike for learning to go fast, or to win light/mid weight twins races if you already are fast! The only recent times I've logged are a 1:33.32 at Pau-Arnos (600 SS record is a 1:23). The bike is modified according to the AFM (www.afmracing.org) 650 Formula Twins rules (I brought the bike with me when I moved from the states). You can see pictures at http://padilla.net/v/len/motorcycles/hawk. Price is 3000 euros OBO. Delivery arrangements made upon sale (the bike is located in Pamplona, Spain).

Precio 3000 euros. Si te interesa, enviame un mensaje por correo electronico a "hawk4sale arroba padilla punto net".

This was my racebike, a Honda NT650 Hawk GT. Since I moved to Spain I've only raced in a couple of 'subidas' (sanctioned racing on closed mountain roads). I take it to Pau-Arnos a few times a year for trackdays now. Its modifications include:

  • Alfano electronic dash and lap timer (tachometer, water temp, voltage, magnetic sensor lap timer, 200 lap memory)
  • Keihin FCR 39 mm. flatside carbs
  • Megacycle 174-x2 cams
  • Mild head work (clean up, not enlarging)
  • Two Brothers Racing exhaust system
  • Minimal electrical system, no charging, no starter, battery powered ignition and fuel pump
  • 1994 CBR600F2 forks, bars, brakes, front wheel
  • 5.25" Technomagnesio rear wheel
  • Fox Racing shock
  • Honda RVF bodywork
  • Jake's Racing aluminum subframe
  • Other assorted junk ©
Last time I weighed it, which was before the new front end and rear wheel, it was about 145 kilos (320 pounds). The new pieces probably almost cancel each other. It was last measured to make 70 horsepower on a Dynojet rolling road dyno.
